big red, I gave your first reply a quick read but I have a question wouldn't the pressure release system be the reason why the second round leaves at the same velocity as the first. I do believe that was one of there patients. just throwing it out there not trying to contradict your intelligence, just following occam's razor on the design. i always thought that a pressure release that was able to release the pressure of the first as the second was leaving the barrel this would cancel newtons law law on the first. it would have to be close but to me this make more sense then a sabot in the mix.

I'm not trying to step on anyones toes, This is just how i thought thing worked IMHO
