Re your post which included;
"... I see you are certainly desperate to change the subject away from Gillard's ongoing catastrophic, death-dealing failure ..."
"... With such a plan as he is proposing it would certainly tend to attract more "real" foreign students studying real subjects ..."
"... NBN will simply be changed mid-stream in scope ..."
"... Good to have an upcoming PM will a vision ..."
Julia Gillard should be making onshore processing work properly; working much better with our neighbours & resourcing our naval presence in the Indian Ocean much better for starters & as a priority.
On that issue alone Labor should have replaced her as leader.
Re Asian students, your comments mirror Abbott's & demonstrate unfamiliarity with reality. Schools & universities do not need government interference in this area, they are already doing a great job!
Abbott has apparently been rattled by increasing public demand for the NBN. He will do himself a huge favour if he admits that it now has to proceed.
Using 'Abbott' & 'vision' in the same sentence is an abuse of the English language.
Visionary leaders think longer term & ensure their current actions relate closely to those longer term goals. Abbott has no goals, no policy detail & no implementation plan. He makes policy statements on the run as a reaction to perceived political advantage. Abbott is a populist leader who sways in the public breeze.
As for costing his nanny state; Abbott hasn't even started to explain where he will slash & burn, as per his mates in NSW, Vic. & Qld.
