Looks like that Lowy Institute report was spot on then? You appear upset with a system that allows scrutiny of Tony Abbott; what's your preferred alternative?
IMO our political leaders should be held to account. To that end, some posters have made an artform out of criticising Julia Gillard without even crediting her with achievements such as our world best economic KPIs.
Of course, what's good for the goose is also good for the gander. Even more so because Tony Abbott has led the chorus of criticism
If Abbott is to become PM we have every right to know all about what he sees as our future & exactly what he will do.
Telling us that he'll stop the boats, stop the NBN, stop the MRRT while delivering welfare for the wealthy via his nanny state while simultaneously refusing to indicate how his profligate spending will be funded should motivate everyone to hold him to the same account as we do Julia Gillard.
This has nothing to do with Nazi Germany, the Reichstag or Socialism. It's our pseudo democracy at work!
