What are you people afraid of? A few thousand refugees fleeing brutal regims that we are in many cases at war with. Are you scared they are going to take or tarnish your women, is it the fact you are threatened that many are not the same religion as you or is it the fact that it costs some money to keep our obligations as a civilised nation and signatory to the U.N charter on refugees?
Those who suggested bombing them, refugees, men women and children, well as someone from a family with a long military history from Gallipoli to the North Sea to Vietnam I have one word for you.

Actually make that two words, pathetic cowards! I dont know what has made you so heartless and miserable and I dont care. Before any of you think of putting in a TOU on this consider this. It has been proposed as a sensible and helpful idea to kill(thats what arial bombing does) the refugees. Defenceless men women and children.
Read about "Krystal Nacht" and how the Nazis blamed their woes on the Jews and how Facism rose in Nazi Germany. And we are in the midst of an economic boom and you miserable lot of Hansenites and those further to the right cant find it in your hearts to take in people fleeing tryanical countries that we have often seen fit to invade to put down the tyrants. It worked(putting down the tyrants) in Iraq (more or less, unless you are a Kurd a Christain, a Bahai etc but Afganistan is far from free especially if you are from the Nothern Monghol related minority.
I might be from a family that doesnt scare easily but I hardly see the small ragged lot that get on the leaky boats to Australia as a threat in any way. I imagine if the refugees were fair haired and fair skinned Christians and from nothern Europe a good deal of you frightened lot would not feel so threatened either.
