Seq,
The only impact I can see in packaging terms is on extra cost of landfill where there is now an extra cost to dump non biodegradable waste. This has a serious effect on councils who collect consumer rubbish - which of course will be passed on to consumers. However, unless councils start giving discounts to consumers based on the type of rubbish they are disposing of (impossible to realistically do) then the carbon tax is going to have no effect on the consumer's decision to buy goods that have or don't have bio-degradable packaging. Most consumers will gladly make a concerted decision to buy products in bio-degradable packaging over non IF the cost is not significantly greater to them. To me that's the key for Cardio success. I can't really see how carbon tax significantly affects Cardio's prospects. But that's just me.
