Yeah KL, this episode may have just started a new frontier for scammers, forget flogging mobile phone deals or requesting bank account details, just buy a heap of shares in a beaten down company then fax a bogus T/O offer and dump them when the offer is made public.
It's an absolute joke that it is so easy to manipulate the market in this manner.
ASIC and the ASX should dig very deep into this one, particularly who was buying prior to the announcement, but more importantly, who was selling!
