Oh they will - sigh but no game if they were to give up. ALP has a big problem with Rudd:

ALP is controlled by 'balance of power' in back rooms.
Rudd wants to dismantle that group.
Unions must hate Rudd for same reason.
SO to put Rudd in means the power base running ALP from behind the scenes has to collapse - possible not probable without a major fight.

Rudd has proven he is a shocking manager and a control freak.
ALP will look soooooooooo stupid if they go backwards and put him back in charge.
They need to bottle his ability to SPIN and throw him away.
They publicly re-knifed him a few months back - savage attack and tears etc all very emotional and unprofessional.
