By and large terrorists are pretty incompetent - the NY attack was exceptional in that regard. But the other attacks are small stuff by comparison to the deaths inflicted upon islamic countries over the last century by western powers.
It is not the bomb wielding islamist nutcase we have to worry about. The insidious calls for sharia law in the UK and other European countries, and even in Oz, are a much greater threat in the long term. If you're really worried about the girl who was executed the other day, focus on your own back yard rather than an opium riddled society in the other hemisphere.
