    He was shot in the chest, just above his body armour.

    Voltaire, I really don't think selfishness played a part. Some soldiers serve and come home feeling fortunate to have survived. Some soldiers want the money and some want the excitement. Nobody is forced to go to Afghanistan.

    But, let's be fair. Haven't you ever developed a false sense of security? A feeling of invincibility? Can any of us imagine a desire to serve our country that transcends our current circumstances? Including family and friends.?

    The warrior is alive and strong in some and I thank God for that.
