    Reflecting on your May post Pilko...re Asian appetite for US gas jeopardising LNG's FL project.

    Now I come to your point about LNG's best shot to prove up the technology and get on with selling that, and it leads me to ask;

    Can anyone say how watertight (for LNG) the 'deal' is between the Chinese and LNG. More specifically - if HQC walked from their investment in LNG, how safe would the intellectual property be?

    LNG have taken out patents yes, but what can readers tell me about the iron-clad surety they give the company, when the Chinese must have had very good access to the detail, tested it even, and for a considerable time.

    With the plants currently under construction on mainland China by HQC, if they left LNG in the lurch, 'borrowing' the IP as they went, their source of Australian gas would not be contingent on FL - we know that.

    So placate me someone! The Chinese are here to stay, the marriage will work, and the patents are immoveable...yeah?

    Thanking someone in anticipation,

    Lilac
