CT - I don't think anyone is suggesting there is a direct correlation between these events and the TOL being issued. But is it as black and white as you suggest?

Officially the decision is now a purely technical one in the hands of the AELB. But nobody seriously thinks that means the decision has ceased to be political do they? Nobody could deny it would be politically expedient to announce such a decision after the protest group are legally gagged rather than before.

Same with the Ramadan issue - easy for us to sit here in Oz saying well that's as relevant as Lent. It's just not that simple in Malaysia - anything and everything is a factor. That includes things we will never even know.

So I'm just pointing, yes, out we can't equate any specific action with a definitive reaction, but it all goes into the melting pot and it all adds up.
