Coal prices have softened but when you have low cost extraction, the profit margins are still attractive. DRG can essentially drive a front end loader and dig the coal right out of the ground. Others like AKM can't.
The problem is managements timing. Since the initial coal hits, we have consolidated capital (a disaster but had to be done to comply) and drilled a few more holes. Not great for a years work.
The constant delays and missing deadlines are causing strees and investment horizons to lengthen, and ultimately causing people to sell at less opportune times. This is what is leading to a terrible share price and a loss in shareholder wealth, the very thing ME was talking about building.
Its time to start producing results!
