It's really just basic lessons from Politicians 101....and it's a survival gene that's in the DNA of all them. You only have to look at what JG & Swanny did to hold power from the last election. All of those Indepenents have enjoyed billions of extra tax dollars spent in the respective electorates.....'there will be no carbon tax under a government that I lead...' yeah right.....but the Green preferences lead the Gov....notice how Bob Brown retired the exactly when the carbon tax became law ??? Poltical survival is more important than anything to a polly....then comes pay, pay rises, private jets, power etc........This is certainly the way it has played out....we should have expected no less....I guess we were blind sided by their empty promises.....eg the TOL will be awarded shortly........(made in April).....now nearly AUGUST !! I see it as taunting.....they see it as normal progress.
