When I bought SHV they were about 20% of my portfolio, with the price rise pre-GFC they were just over 50% and currently make up 27% of my portfolio.

I am curious whether they will move from a June 30 back to a September 30 reporting period end date.

With the current accounting standards and the timing of the majority of their income it makes sense as it avoids the situation we have now where their results are based largely on guesswork.

I think it was 1995 when they made the shift from September 30 to June 30 to align themselves with other companies, but the accounting standards have changed since then. As a large part of their income had been from managed orchards the accounting standards change wasn't so bad up until now.
