Bacci you won't get any disagreement from me on that....
But the funny thing that I cannot fathom is that when ones adds up all the taxes including Import duty, luxury tax, GST, freight and insurances, the difference between prices overseas and here is absolutely massive.
I try to believe the dealers could not be making $150K per car on say a Porka or Ferrari but everything points to this being the case. Sure the amount is different on the average car but it is still way out of line with what would be reasonable.
One ting I am told by government departments is that the difference is NOT going to the government so either the overseas manufacturers are ripping us off or the local dealers are. Maybe that explains why every new car dealer builds a bigger and fancier outlet every few years.
