IAU have apparently said that TSX regs govern trading halt announcements more than ASX regs, and they are much tighter apparently, which is why they haven't moved for a halt on ASX.
Lots of volatility and some time to go before there will be a resolution (vol today = 12+% shares on issue!).
Looks like the cash backing might be the base. Plenty of ST trades in this until then IMO
to the shorters, page-21
