I assume this must be a different catholic church to the one that:
- protects paedophiles rather than children - tortured and murdered non believers during the inquisition - conducted genocide against non believers during the crusades - supported the nazi genocide - condemns millions of children to death via its stance on contraception - suppression of democracy during reformation
Surely you mean "the greatest source of evil in the world". Reality is that our freedoms arose despite the Catholic Church not because of it.
