After giving it some more thought, I believe the answer lies in deterring or protecting the beach goer instead of killing the sharks.
That way everyone wins.
The shark camo was a great idea.
There is also ongoing work involving bite proof wetsuits. But with the jaw pressure of a great white it's more about limiting the damage than stopping it altogether.
