I haven't read this thread - it's too long - but I've heard lots of comments on the wireless today and none, except the Labor Party, have been critical of what he said.
I just heard Bob Carr interviewed and he was very tame in his comments, just spoke around the edges saying they prefer to do this tough talking face to face in Canberra with diplomats - as if he'd know.
