... seriously though... just be careful about the size of the target market here... the metabolism of transdermal patches means eff all when compared with metabolism of similar drug in tablet/capsule form.

The reason being you take a tablet, it is released, absorbed, metabolised, and excreted over the course of hours...

You whack a patch on, it is released, absorbed, and metabolised, all the while there's still more stuff leaching out of the patch to be released, absorbed yada yada... Advantages in terms of chemical composition become a moot point once enough drug has been absorbed to reach 'equilibrium' (usually around 5 half lives given an adequate loading dose - which CANT be achieved by patch!)

There already exist patches for fentanyl, buprenorphine and a few other opiates - this one may find itself coming late to the dinner table.

I don't mean to offend anyone - post from a position of ignorance about the company, simply know a little about drugs and their clinical use...
