Aghh always the bridesmade and never the bride.

Home from a long day working in boomtown, Im told earning too much for doing too little on some W.A project and Ive read all the PEK posts and Im greeted with the news Ive won yet another second prize.

This time I see Ive won second prize in the inaugural
"DDs" worst recent post prize. Pipped by Noreen.

Firstly congrads Noreen.

Secondly what do I do DD to improve my effort?
I explained that brokers need to make a profit. That would get a few tomatoes flung. I pointed out that inconclusive mathamatical stats are worth very little. How dare I let facts get in the way on your shareholder outrage. I pointed out management have a lot of skin in the game(which surely cemented my place on the stake next to AH).And I gave the vibe that I thought that what Id heard of the rumoured raising terms were not perfect perhaps but ok by me.

How silly of me,

How dare management conduct a raising that rumour has it was conducted at a small discount through brokers who will make a profit from being involved and that really wealthy people who have more money than us and will take up the offer quicker than us with less hassle and more fiscal capacity than us will get a greater share than us. Even if I think involving deep pockets will be quick and clean and let "our" company move forward with the real objective A.S.A.P.

How dare I have an opinion and for my opinion be different to your?

But still only a second prize after a post that was difernt to your opinion, thought out, mostly correctly spelt(perhaps therein the problem?)supported by my own version of logic(hmm perhaps another prob there)and reasonably humble and accepting of others opinions.

Being seen as a supporter of management would be a big sin at my workplace. Thats understandable. But its clearly a capital sin ATM regarding PEK and thats less understandable for me. Like our Chinese friend Xin says how would you do it better?

The knives always come out at raising time. But as we say to kids when they get immunisatin shots its for your own good.

Raisings are immunisation against bankrupsy, I reckon, like em or not we have to have them and they have to be at a discount or nobody including us wants to be involved.
