Surely it's time now for Peter French/BLT and CSIRO to issue a joint statement to the Market/Industry/World to clarify everything?
Moral Obligation/Responsibility does rest with the owners of the Patent to allow it be used in the search for cures to any disease, virus, sickness etc... BUT at the end of the day, those who find success through it's use, no matter what part it has to play in their processes, will be making major money on comercialisation of that cure.
One could argue that (in turn) it would be THEIR Moral Obligation to distribute that cure for FREE, but that's not quite the way it works eh...
I've said it before on here that BLT should be mentioned in 'price-sensitive' press releases by the patent users because by default, such releases are also in ways associated with the value of Benitec as a listed company.
PF did make a great effort at digging his elbow in recently with his own comment to the Market but he shouldn't have to do that IMO...
