The Stena Tay should have arrived offshore mauritania over the weekend from the canary Islands where is underwent 6 weeks of repairs and modifications. We expect a announcement today or tomorrow to the effect that the Sotto exploration well has been spudded.

The WPL JV has announced 3 firm wells and 3 more that are yet to be decided (they will be drilling 3 more but haven't chosen them yet). So its the biggest program yet plus we expect some appraisal drilling on Banda and the Dana JV will be drilling one of two large prospects in Block 1 in September according to partner Tullow Oil.

I expect the punters and instos to get set this week and for the upwards pressure on the sp to continue as the first well proceeds.
