I think the real killer for centralised power generation lies beyond the initial construction and commissioning costs. The big cost? Decommissioning and the subsequent environmental cleanup, the standards for which become more rigorous and expensive as time goes on.

Bluegens don't have that degree of environmental cost. The unit can be refurbed with a new SOFC and I bet the old one will eventually go back to the plant for recycling or reconditioning, like an old engine core or gearbox.

I got out at 9.4 cents - I believe in the product but I think the company needs to shrink it's costs and batten down the hatches for a while, whilst continuing to produce outstanding field trial results. The money will return, it's just not being set loose right now. And every day the expenditure get delayed the bigger the uptake will be when it starts. CFU will be in prime position with a viable unit that production can be scaled up readily on.
