LD's - Liquidated Damages, applied by a client when a project over runs. LD's are predetermined costs that a client will or may incur because of a late completion. For example if you are building a house and the builder is late completing it you may incur additional rent where you are staying while waiting to move into the house, so your LD's would be the cost of rent which you would expect your builder to pay due to his late delivery.
