What's so "yeah right" about this statement Resourced? If SM put no timeframe on it, you would be jumping up and down saying management is not setting any goals or planning. So in my mind, it doesn't matter what SM announces, as you have made your mind up.
It's just a frustrating when companies use words like "imminent" and nothing happens for months. (PRR)
Or, you could have a team that builds up their propects based on outdated incomplete data and then has to revise their figures down when some degree of rigour is applied to the data (EXM)
I'm not saying TIS management have nothing to apologise for, but let's look at the good points:
The have developed a new product which has no equal and will turn the accepted standard of care on its head.
They went it alone against big pharma and negotiated a deal which is far better for the long term prospects of the company and shareholders.
They have successfully gained the CE Mark for sales in Europe. All they are waiting for is the piece of paper.
Now, what I really think needs addressing by management is this: Is Quintiles set to get the product to market? Has the sales and marketing team been recruited and have they been trained? Are they working to promote the product in advance of the product launch, letting potential purchasers know that they will be able to buy Vitrogrow in the next month or two?
TIS may not be able to speed up final granting of the certificate, but they are certainly in the position to be leaning on Quintiles to ensure they are ready.
