who is coming

First Fleeters came here, not as plotters or liars, but in chains and stinking ships' hulks, with no choice - classed as criminals for stealing a loaf of bread or a buckle or candlestick in order their family wouldn't starve. Did they choose to come here? How many ever saw their families again? Ever. How many wives and children had to beg and starved back home without their fathers/husbands.

They did not lie, cheat, hide their identities, pay someone a huge clandestine sum to come here - and have all their comforts found and paid for, nor were they given government financial support, then they got here, most of them hating this land, and their circumstances.

Out of their misery, despair and courage, a new Australian
strength of character emerged. Whatever these people did - they were honest as to their family histories.

We must then ask, in comparison, what sort of people are we allowing to choose to come here after they've paid illegal people smugglers? Most of them lie right up - having purposely destroyed any records of their true history and indentity. They arrive here - and start demanding. They expect their whole families to then be allowed to come and follow them, no questions asked, and perpetual welfare to be made available to whole families, unquestioned.

An audio grab was re-played the other day - some so-called "refugee" boat supposedly in trouble asking our authorities for help. This boat was just off Bali! The recorded voice was demanding that they be rescued and brought to Australia, and then angrily argued the point when told this wouldn't be happening!

Yes - we're now becoming a taxi service for the disaffected - and the bleeding hearts and pro-bono lawyers all tripping over themselves and their own self-righteousnesses are the symphony orchestra lined up on the wharves playing a welcome symphony.

WE are caring country. But we should never allow ourselves to be used up. Surely it's not too much to ask the truth of those seeking to come here, gain entry, and settle themselves and their families - mostly at our present and future generations' expense - as many will not work - yet they want our way of life - for life? A demand based, so often, on a pack of lies?
