Some say that this is old news and also that nothing ever came of the previous investigations ( The reason being that a key party declined to help the investigation at the time.)
It would seem now that if Mr Blewitt has admitted his wrong-doing in this matter and is prepared to fully expose the alleged fraud and conduct of others to police and prosecutors, then he must be allowed to do so, if only to bring this matter to a head after 17 years of damaging speculation.
It might be old news for some, but it needs to be remembered that the money in question has never been recovered...here perhaps is the opportunity for those union members affected, to find out through Mr Blewitt's information just where it has gone and hopefully, to see it returned to their union where it belongs.
