ASX Response to my query re the repaeating trades and cancellations of 4 shares on CDU on 27th July 2012:

They were crossings executed by a broker.

They appearred to be cancellations of multiple erroneous crossings

They may have been identified as 'wash sales' and the brokers will cancel them immediately if they are identified as such as wash sales are not allowed under the corporations act and should be prevented or cancelled by the broker immediately.

The issue of wash sales falls outside the ASX's jurisdiction and it was suggested to contact ASIC for further enquiries...
