New refractory lining in the cement industry for example is dried for 48h and then without any feed heatet up within 72h to 1500°C; after that feeding of raw meal is started.
To heat kilns of a size of the LAMP and then cool it down again, doesn't make any sense for two reasons:
1) it's just an unnecessary waste of energy
2) any change in temperature is disadventageously for stability under load within runtime of refractory lining
Therefore an engineer could start firing a kiln if the TOL is internally announced by mail or phone in advance of written affirmation, if not just leave it as it is.
