Andrew true Christianity is not about thinking Christian's are better than anyone else but is about humility, repentance, submitting to God and serving others.

To think you could hedge your bets with God would be akin to thinking you are more intelligent than God, for God knows the difference between a sincere follower and one seeking his own best interests.

The concept of picking one of 7000 Gods seems a bit far stretched as people have been worshiping idols and false Gods from day dot to now. Today these idols are just society's values such as power, greed, money, lust etc. Show me which one of these 7000 Gods has a book stand the test of time, is sold every 50 minutes, is the best selling book of all time and has been translated into over 2000 languages.

The commandments in the Old Testament were to point out man's sin and to show that we can not be saved by following the law. Abraham was one of the most faithful men to ever live and was around before Moses's received the ten commandments, so he was saved by his faith not by following the law.

"In addition, even Jesus states that a man with any personal wealth cannot enter heaven. How is that "tossing the coin and winning", short of making a poorly conceived "no true scotsman" argument regarding adherence to the bible, or applying a texas sharpshooter fallacy? And your god is very specific about these things. "

You have taken this out of context and this concept could have a whole book written on it by it's own.

    These are the verse's

16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life ?”

17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”

    18 “Which ones?” he inquired.

Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother,’[a] and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’[b]”

20 “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?”

21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.

23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

The culture of the day thought that riches were a blessing from God. Jesus explained however that "with God everything is possible". Faith in Christ, not in self or riches is what counts.
