Your burial of the gold will be a failure I'm afraid.

Someone else got their first, so now the gold's theirs. Not only that, in the long term bonds and shares thrash gold, so whoever owns it in the future will find out that it's not worth as much as you think.

A waste of time, a huge risk for not much capoital gain.

There's a fallacy promoted by the goldbugs that gold will outperform shares and bonds over time but it's not true.
