You got me curious on this one, I looked around a bit and found an article about Najib mentioning his favorite number
Here’s a segment from an article published last year in The Star: “11. The 11th reason is of course that today is already Nov 11 and the number 11 is supposed to be Najib's favourite number. Many have claimed that Najib would use this auspicious date to announce the dissolution of Parliament and call the polls for December. There is no indication he will announce anything.”
As for speculations on whether TOL would be approved before or after the Malay GE, here’s an article from FMT (that one!) on Najib and speculation on possible GE dates which I gather have been ongoing since last year. (maybe that should have alerted us on the TOL “decision”)
