Perhaps you do not know that:
By his own admission, resourced is now on the short side of LYC. He probably decided to make back all his heavy losses by shorting.
Even if the theory about MK intentions to take more shares by shorting LYC is true, I don't think the instos who are lending the shares to the shorts will sit idle and let MK dilute their own shares. They can at any moment demand their shares back and force the shorts to buy back all its shorts for a stiff price. A sign for this was shown by drying the lending few days ago.
