I've switched part holdings to IGR (only because I trade this short term- would not have done so with any long term holdings).
Out at 2.66 and in at 41c for the 3.2% discount.
Not a big discount but the chances of this not going through seem remote enough and more importantly (while still fairly unlikely) there is always the possibility of a competing bid.
Stranger things have happenned.
Of course there is the slight risk of the deal falling through but I think the odds of a higher bid would be higher than the odds of the deal not going through.
Again I wouldn't have bothered with long term holdings.
Any differing opinions on this strategy?
