BTW read my new message, 'cash out of gold', just what I've been saying for the last 2 years, gold is preposterously expensive.

CW's quaintly worded but fictitous scenario may apply to some unfortunate people but if you're not in excessive debt, control your spending, have a job, you'll be OK.

Am I prepared?

Of course I am, I've got good retirement savings, no debt, no mortgage, a job, fixed interest and commercial property income, and still on No. 1 wife.

And no gold or silver. (Especially silver thank goodness)
