    Country Writer,

You're working with Aussie stocks but gold's a global entity so they're one and the same, the XGD has suffered as have the XAU, GXD, GDXJ(-41%) and others.

I quote the S&P because it consists of 500 stocks and is a worldwide and broad index.

I wouldn't say I'm in siege mode, just brief and to the point, but for you to say that gold stocks are at their lows is a risky statement indeed, gold IMO is on the brink of a fall, probably a big one which will see gold shares massacred.

You are incorrect to assert that I'm stuck in illiquid property, my investments are very widely diversified, including cash, mutual funds, property, and global shares.

Exluding my residence, about 25% in each.

You seem very confident that gold shares are about to 'slingshot' higher.

A friend of mine is currently testifying in court after losing $500,000, being assured all along by her fund manager that her money was safe and her assets would 'slingshot' higher.
