actually, call me a killjoy, but I think getting into bed with the chinese is a terrible idea. We will find the technology transfer will be all one way, they will not honour agreements to pay us for our intellectual property in the longer term, and we will find that the chinese will use our technology without paying for the license. We will lose it. This has been their patient practice for decades....I agree it helps us in the short term. However, if I was Kronos or BHP, this move towards the Chinese would compel me to come in, take out APG as a whole entity and compulsorily acquire the Chinese shares, rather than to hand competitive advantage to a ferocious adversary who will rarely play fair.
