    I am flattered that you would think that I could add value to OZL.

    I have often thought that boards are "gravy trains". One way to make them not so is to have payments to board members linked to shareholder returns.

    So, one way to structure the board remuneration would be that as a person joins the board, there are hurdle rates to overcome before that person is paid. Something like this:

    Election to the board. Pay for out of pocket expenses of board member.

    Share price is 30% higher than when elected - remuneration of ~$5,000 per month. If sp falls below the value when you were elected, you remove the monthly remuneration.

    Share price is 60% higher than when elected - remuneration of ~$10,000 per month. If sp falls below the 30% value when you were elected, your remuneration drops down a level.

    You can see the pattern emerging. The sp of the stock is directly linked to the remuneration you receive. So the directors feel the pain that shareholders do.
