You are completely wrong in your opinions. There is a fundamental difference between longs and shorts. Longs are buying shares because they want to own part of a company they value. If they praise it its not up ramping. It is because they value its qualities. Longs are positive people who are glad when their company builds up and succeeds.

Shorts on the other hand are negative wicked people. They come to gain from failure, disasters and accidents. They will be very happy if something bad happens to the company. If someone dies or injured in the company they will give a party. Actually they are parasites who come to drink the blood of the company and to weaken it to death.

So, don't compare longs to shorts. You should not be proud to belong to the shorts. You have made your first error when you did not sell, now you are making your second error by hedging.
