I do not live in Queensland (fortunately) and therefore do not have a strong opinion of Beattie one way or the other

BUT

Beattie was elected to the job 7 years ago and has been re-elected twice. Not quite as good as Howard's run but not a bad run all the same for some one in a top job in Australian politics.

Must be doing something right either that or the Queenslanders that voted for him are fools.

It is not surprising though that some of those who have posted here critical of Beattie, would if a similar thread was started about Howard come out with comments like

That is democracy, if you do not like it move to Iran

Or

Winners are grinners losers are just that.

Or

Your side lost get over it.

But then those I am referring to have proven themselves time and time again to be hypocrits, so I suppose it should not be a surprise when they prove this on yet another occassion
