    Hi Chuck.
Always enjoy your posts. First bought into ABU in Febuary this year and have topped up as the year has gone by, Am only just in front but am into this for the long haul. With the Pit or Pits that will be developed the wide intersections will be easy mining and with such hi grades even the very narrow intersections should be profitable especialy if the mullock (waste) is pre stripped. I am in ignorance of as to the dip of the veins but the wide intersections underground will be bulk mined utilizing long hole stoping, where if feasible hand held methods could be used in the narrow areas. One thing that will come to the fore in any underground operation will be the competency of the surrounding country rock, this will have a direct affect on underground level and stope design. The more competent the country rock, the less dilution occurs the better returns there will be. With so much new ore being found i think ABUs biggest problem right now is working out the design of their trial mining pit. I wish i had that problem. For those who have asked me about the gentlemen at Widgemooltha, have a look at historical copies of the Kalgoorlie Miner newspaper. I cannot remember which year this occured but it was between 1986/89-90
    Cheers
    Bob.
