One of the things I think may slip under the radar for some is that valuations put out by analysts (I have before iterated by general skepticism of analysts) is based on DCF or if you like Net Present Values of Future Cash Flows. Having done my fair of this I can tell you it is a rigourous discipline and I htink it has been too easily dismissed.
Based on the available factual information, the company will have cash flows into the future. THis aspect is not speculative. What we don't know is the date of the TOL. That's it.
