For starters I am not a Tony follower. I am a very anti this government follower.
But what I would expect from Tony is this:
Carbon Tax - Yes rescind. If he promises to do it and doesnt he will suffer the same fate as Gillard. Labor have tried to entrench this in but just campaigning on getting rid of this tax alone will get the majority of votes.
MRRT - Yes rescind. By the time he gets in the prices for iron ore coal etc will have dropped further and the expected revenue will be a lot less than what this stupid government expects.
NBN - Stop the work. Wont be too hard as they are only completing 1/10th of what they thought they would do. Do a business case study and probably accept something along the lines of Labor's original policy costing $4B. How you can go from $4B to $40B without a business case is just mind numbingly dumb.
Diect Action - Yes he probably will as it can offset the rescinding of the Carbon Tax. Should he? No he shouldnt. The cost of adapting to any changes that require adapting to will cost multiples less than trying to change the world's temperature by 0.00012 of a degree.
I will also want to see:
a strong defence of freedom of speech.
An attack on excessive regulation. This government has brought in over 17,000 new regulations and rescinded just 78.
productivity growth
massive cut in expenses including thousands of public sector jobs.
encouraging entrepreneurs not lambasting them
dismantling of Fair Work Australia
free trade - no barriers
budget surpluses
Royal Commission into the unions and superannuation
