Whenever this subject comes up, as it does ad nauseum, the government always seems to go after the people who have a genuine need to be in receipt of welfare.
The healthy kids who are on the dole and proud of it, never seem to be mentioned.
I can't help but feel the whole country and economy is living in airey-fairey land. Maybe that can go on indefinitely, I don't know, but I do know that there is seething resentment in a lot of communities.
