This report was released on May 1st. There are 35 recommendations, however, they are non-binding and the Government has until November to respond to these recommendations. There are also dissenting documents from committee members, all of which were discussed on HC around that time.
I don't believe what's happening is about this Committee report. I think what's being presented to the cabinet was the Strategic land use policy. It was supposed to give the green light to CSG projects through some gateway process.
The release of this policy was delayed for a few month.
I know it sounds confusing, well it is sort of.
