Kookaburra, good post. Yes there will be a lot more costs but surely not 150m worth. Xstrata could onsell finland to then make roseby cheaper again.
I actually think your last paragraph makes complete sense. Has anyone thought of xstrata taking up time to try and on-sell Finland? Makes sense to me, buy aoh for 45c at market cap of 225m, on sell Finland to someone else for $50m and end up with all of roseby for $175m. Would work for me and most shareholders I know.
I am actually getting worried that this forum is heading towards people with massive blinkers on. Look at sdl, people's eyes light up about what they could potentially earn if all went well - $1 price targets, takeover price of 70c - where is it now? Yes different commodity but many would argue strategic also to china. Meanwhile they forget financing costs and the fact the global economy is on a knife's edge. If xstrata walks away, good luck with dilution - i'll be long gone.
