I think you missed the point of my post.
I'm not a raging bull. But I don't feel the sky is falling in at every turn also.
I live in Adelaide there are houses here that first home buyers can also buy that are 500k and way over. There is also first homes that are pretty good for around 300k sure the areas may not be really premium but they ok. its all about buying what you can afford so you give yourself the best fighting change of staying ahead. My son has just bought his first home 2 years ago for 310k he is got his nose hard up making extra payments etc so he can get well in front so he has a lot of wriggle room for unexpected events. its also about good planing as well. I'm no spring chicken and from what I have always seen its always been tough for all different reasons, for the greater mas of the people. I can't really think of a time its been easy. if any one (young or old) thinks everything is just going to come to them without really hard work and sacrifices they in for a rude shock usually they're also the ones that blame everything and everyone for their circumstance.
