I let that trade go at 3.28 because I already had two other short term parcels as well as my long term holdings, so had to treat this one as a day trade for risk management reasons.
However, yes I should go and buy a good bottle of port for tonight. Been an excellent couple of weeks for me for long term holdings and short term realised trading gains.
Very happy that I can still trade this stock successfully since the merger and that it still looks to be an excellent long term investment.
Can hardly believe IGR up 5% again after 9% yesterday. It has almost lost all its discount now so I think we may soon see news that the offer has become unconditional. Had SLR not gone up late to hold a slight premium over IGR, I would have thought there may have been a competing bid for IGR (unlikely as it seemed). An unconditional offer will signal SLR is happy with their DD and that will be good for both stocks.
