If you are day trading or short term trading, clearly NUP is an idiotic choice.

They raised a small sum to get to JORC and probably do fund some marketing. Yes there will need to be a cap raise (possibly a strategic shareholder one would hope) for Stage 4 exploration and feasibility studies on DSO.

The new director (Herzberg) put up over 200 grand into this, and recently registered a new company simply called "Phosphate" (no need to over-complicate things) for the majority of the holding. Somehow I doubt he has been selling.

As far as drilling, they did their work on a tiny budget, and got a better result than RUM. They reported on time, got essays on time (not easy) and published them in good quality releases that even mugs like me can understand.

The real question is of course, is phosphate in Georgina basin going to fly or not?

With all the stuff about growing affluent populations in India and China, and us being the new food bowl, which surely will be a bipartisan policy soon (everybody likes the idea of Australia actually producing something), I think re-rating is not too far away. Then, you have takeover plays given RUM has a predatory major shareholder and it would make complete sense to develop both deposits.

Remember this is a 8mil stock we are talking about.

Regarding the fertilizers and food in general. Look at history - US congress actually passed an Guano Islands Act in 1856 that allowed US citizens to effectively annex Guano islands. At the time, Guano was the most traded and cargoed commodity in the world. Interestingly, the islands were very quickly scooped to the waterline. It is literally very valuable s***. This is what we have too - probably not as fresh, definitely more fossilized and perhaps not from seagulls but something like pterodactiles - but who cares if it is going to help to improve crops that our cows will gobble up by tonnes only in turn to be gobbled up by our abundant Chinese neighbours.
